Joe Rogan Credits Fox News and ‘The Right’ For Having His ‘Back’ When He Was Under Fire

Joe Rogan reflected yesterday during an interview on his podcast about the time that he was under fire at the beginning of the year.

Artists like Neil Young and many on the left were trying to have Rogan’s podcast canceled on Spotify as they accused him of spreading “vaccine misinformation” and he credited Fox News and “the right” for having his “back” during that time.

Speaking with comedian Fahim Anwar on the episode, Rogan began in a clip, “Who would have thought, if you look back on the early days, what we used to think of as conservative vs. liberal, liberal was pro-free speech, people were open-minded, nonviolent, and people were open to other people’s ideas and the right was like suppressive… nanny state… condemn certain language… condemn certain behaviors, that’s not the case today.”

“Today the left has gone so f*cking far left, so radical that the right are the ones celebrating comedians, celebrating Chappelle,” Rogan lamented.

Rogan then pointed out that “They had my back through it. It was Fox News that had my f*cking back.”

Anwar then asked, “Would you ever think that they’d (Fox) be the ones to cape for you?”

“I’m so liberal, I talk about it all the time. I’m not a conservative, I’m not conservative,” Rogan insisted before noting that he is pro-2A, however.

Rogan then explained different “liberal” things that he does though, that most “conservatives” would frown upon.

The reality is though, that the things Rogan listed are now taken for granted in general by liberals and The Young Turks’ Cenk Uyger responded to his statements in a tweet.

“It’s amazing how unaware people are. @joerogan just said, ‘I’m so liberal. Like I talk about it all the time. Like I am not a conservative.’ Based on what? All he’s done for the last two years is extreme right-wing propaganda but in his mind he’s still a compassionate liberal,” Uyger claimed.

Uyger continued, “I can’t name a single thing Rogan was in the news for in last two years that was a left-wing position. I can’t name a single thing he has criticized the right-wing for. He still promotes lunatic right-winger Alex Jones. And in his mind, he’s on the left. Hilarious and ridiculous.”

“Rogan is wondering why @FoxNews was only one to support him lately – that’s because you went hardcore right-wing. You didn’t figure that out? You thought it was just a coincidence or they love freedom? (laughing face emoji) And if he’s so left-wing, why are all of his defenders extreme right-wingers?” Uyger questioned.
