Podcaster Joe Rogan posted a video tonight on Facebook sharing his thoughts on the Spotify controversy and said he had “no hard feelings” towards Neil Young or Joni Mitchell despite their attempts to cancel him.
“Thank you to everyone that sent love and support, I truly, truly appreciate it and it’s been nice to hear from you,” Rogan said at the beginning of the video.
Rogan then spent the nearly ten-minute video pushing back on those who claimed that he was spreading “misinformation.”
“Whenever I get something wrong, I try to correct it, because I’m interested in telling the truth, I’m interested in finding out what the truth is,” Rogan insisted.
Rogan then stressed that he has had various different experts regarding COVID to find out “how people come to these conclusions.”
In regards to Neil Young and Joni Mitchell removing their music from Spotify, Rogan explained, “I’m very sorry that they feel that way. I’m a Neil Young fan, I’ve always been a Neil Young fan” adding that he had a Young story that he would provide later in the video.
Rogan then conceded that he would allow for Spotify to place a label on any controversial podcasts and that
“They’re just conversations,” Rogan said of what he does.
Rogan also thanked and apologized to Spotify and said “I’m very sorry this is happening to them.”
“I’m not mad at Neil Young,” Rogan asserted before giving the promised story and added that he has “no hard feelings” for Young or Mitchell.
