On Memorial Day, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton shared, “Remembering today the millions of Americans who’ve served our country in the military across generations, as well as their families—and especially those who lost their lives defending our freedom.”
Juanita Broaddrick, who previously accused Bill Clinton of raping her, responded to Clinton’s tweet reminding her, “You lost your right to say anything about this Day…. When you turned your back on those Four Heroes in Benghazi. GO AWAY.”
Memorial Day, formerly Decoration Day, is the day Americans have set aside to honor and mourn the U.S. military personnel who died while serving. Americans have observed this holiday since 1868.
On September 11th, 2012 a terror attack was executed on an American diplomatic compound in Benghazi. Four Americans were killed in the attack.
Clinton, as well as other members of Obama’s White House wrongly blamed YouTube videos as motives behind the attack. They claimed that it was only riots about the portrayal of the prophet Muhammad that led to the deaths of the four Americans.
In the video below Susan Rice blames the anti-mulsim videos for the attack.
However, it was later determined in a report titled “Flashing Red: A Special Report on the Terrorist Attack at Benghazi,” the State Department circumvented its own policies and standards on diplomacy security. The report reads:
In the months [between February 2011 and September 11, 2012] leading up to the attack on the Temporary Mission Facility in Benghazi, there was a large amount of evidence gathered by the U.S. Intelligence Community (IC) and from open sources that Benghazi was increasingly dangerous and unstable, and that a significant attack against American personnel there was becoming much more likely. While this intelligence was effectively shared within the Intelligence Community (IC) and with key officials at the Department of State, it did not lead to a commensurate increase in security at Benghazi nor to a decision to close the American mission there, either of which would have been more than justified by the intelligence presented. … The RSO [Regional Security Officer] in Libya compiled a list of 234 security incidents in Libya between June 2011 and July 2012, 50 of which took place in Benghazi.
While Clinton has circumvented blame for the failures that led to the death of four Americans many still hold her partially responsible, as she was secretary of state at the time.
Clinton testified before Congress that the security decisions about the Benghazi compound were made by others. She shared, “The specific security requests pertaining to Benghazi … were handled by the security professionals in the [State] Department. I didn’t see those requests, I didn’t approve them, I didn’t deny them.”
