Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff is stepping into the limelight. He is not a man we usually hear from. But he or his wife or both of them have decided it is time for him to step up and start issuing more statements to the public as Harris’ VP ratings sit at record lows, and embarrassingly so.
Many people are unhappy with Joe Biden’s job performance which is why his ratings are also low, but an argument can be made that people simply don’t like Kamala Harris, in addition to her failure as Vice President and Border Czar, in our opinion.
Emhoff made the comments at a Brentwood, Los Angeles fundraiser on Friday according to an LA Times Report. Newsweek reported on this in part quoting Emhoff:
According to the L.A. Times, Emhoff told the fundraising event: “We know what we’re for. We’re for doing the work for the American people.”
“We’re serious people doing the serious work of government,” he said.
“We are going to be able to make our case to the American people as we go into the midterms,” the second gentleman said.
Emhoff then took aim at the Republican Party.
“What are they for other than a power grab and basically trying to cheat to get there?” he said.
Whether or not Republicans are doing anything wrong with their handling of what they believe to be election integrity, the Democrat party appears to be struggling with an identity crisis. Many Americans believed that the mass mail-in voting during the election was a disaster.
Whether or not it affected the 2020 election is something that we can’t claim as “fact-checkers” and most mainstream outlets would be quick to “debunk”. But one thing we think is for sure is it undermined trust among Republican voters, although those same left-wing reporters might blame “rhetoric from Donald Trump” instead.
However elections should be handled, leftists struggled in recent times with how they have handled illegal immigration. Some left-leaning cities are allowing illegal immigrants to vote in municipal elections. As we recently reported, Democrats are also finding themselves with an identity crisis as it pertains to policing cities and “law and order” as crime spirals out of control in places like San Francisco, California.
The Democrat party thinks that with demographic shifts, they will eventually become unbeatable. While those shifts have and are having a major effect on the nation, American elections are notoriously unpredictable as the 2016 presidential election showed, and anything can happen.
Republicans feel poised to regain control soon, although they should not get complacent in our view.
