Kari Lake Calls it ‘Fitting’ That Katie Hobbs Released Her First Budget on Friday the 13th Because ‘It’s Horrific’

Kari Lake, who continues to oppose Katie Hobbs and contest the November election, weighed in after Hobbs released her new budget yesterday.

Lake, who outlined what she disagreed with in the budget, called it “fitting” that Hobbs released the budget on Friday the 13th because “it’s horrific.”

“Katie Hobbs released her first budget today and it is an absolute disaster,” Lake declared.

Lake listed that the budget contains, “Taxpayer-funded Abortions, College Tuition for illegal aliens, Repeals Border Security funding, Dismantles School Choice vouchers.”

“It’s fitting she released this on Friday the 13th. It’s horrific,” Lake added.

According to a press release from Hobbs, the budget priorities are “a focus on lowering costs, investing in public education, securing the state’s water future, tackling the affordable housing crisis and more.”

In a statement, Hobbs insisted, “We have an opportunity to make a significant change in the lives of the families and communities of this state. We are committed to facing our challenges head on to build a resilient, innovative and prosperous Arizona for everyone.”

“Our fiscal year budget takes action on the issues that matter most to Arizonans: lowering costs, investing in education, securing our water future and tackling the affordable housing crisis,” Hobbs added.

Lake appeared on OAN and said that Hobbs’ first action after taking office was to “enforce pronouns” with the threat of legal action.

“The budget removes $12 million from our border strikeforce to secure the border,” Hobbs lamented as she also pointed out that there would be $40 million for illegal immigrants to attend college as well.
