Fox News’ Kayleigh McEnany referenced a previous July 4th speech from Donald Trump when he was president while delivering the smackdown to celebrities complaining about a supposed lack of freedom for women due to the overturning of Roe vs. Wade.
In a segment that aired yesterday, various tweets and posts from the celebrities were shown on the screen.
McEnany then responded, “I can’t with these celebrities and I can’t with our president, who echoed these celebrities.”
“You expect a different tone from the president, you don’t expect, ‘America has come up short.’ Who wordsmithed that beauty?” McEnany wondered.
Biden delivered a speech as part of a barbeque with military members and described the United States as “a project that has come up short in many ways, but which continues even in this hour.”
“It reminded me, I just contrasted it with my old boss, he said, ‘Every American patriot should be filled with joy because you live in the most magnificent country in the history of the world and it can be greater than ever before.'”
Trump said those words during his Independence Day speech at Mt. Rushmore in 2020.
“That’s what I want to hear from the celebrities and certainly from our president,” McEnany concluded.
McEnany later lashed out at Michael Moore in the segment as she said she heard that he was “saying like women and girls aren’t free.”
“I feel freer than ever before,” McEnany declared.
