Keith Olbermann States That Black GOP Congressional Candidate Jarome Bell is Running on the ‘Dumbest Person Alive Party’ Ticket

Disgraced former MSNBC host Keith Olbermann today was apparently triggered by a viral tweet from black GOP Congressional candidate Jarome Bell and used rhetoric that would likely be considered racist if it were a white conservative pundit saying the same about a black Democratic Congressional candidate.

Bell tweeted yesterday, “New Zealand just instituted ‘Knife Control’ due to a stabbing attack. Knives are removed from market and store shelves. You cannot make this shit up.”

Olbermann took a screenshot of the tweet and stated, “So meet @JaromeBellVA. He is running for Congress on a combined Republican/Fascist/No-I’M-The-Dumbest-Person-Alive-Party fusion ticket #HeMadeThisShitUp

It doesn’t appear, however, that anything Bell said was untrue, as a recent Insider article explained, “A New Zealand supermarket chain removed knives and scissors from their shelves after an ISIS supporter stabbed 6 people in one of their stores.”

Bell has ratioed Olbermann in a series of quote tweets, which means that he got more likes on his responses than Olbermann got on his attempt to criticize Bell.

“Thank you Keith. You’re one of those paid democrat overseers that wish black men were still on the plantation. You hide behind your keyboard, personal security, and TV camera. You are welcome to attend an event any time & speak to me personally. I’ll send you a personal invite,” Bell told Olbermann in the first quote tweet.

Bell then shared a screenshot of an article from The Hill backing up his claim, tagged Olbermann and said, “Just gonna leave this here. Oh, and you’re a punk bitch.”

In the last quote tweet, Bell added, “Hey correct me if I’m wrong but didn’t I see you wearing a pussyhat #MeToo

From Insider:

New Zealand supermarket chain Countdown announced Saturday it removed all knives and scissors from its shelves, one day after a man stabbed six people inside one of its stores.

“Last night, we made the decision to temporarily remove all knives and scissors from our shelves while we consider whether we should continue to sell them,” Kiri Hannifin, Countdown’s general manager for safety, said in a statement.

“This is in no way a reflection on our customers, but an act of support for our team. We want all of our team to feel safe when they come to work, especially considering the events of yesterday,” she said.”

On Friday, police shot and killed a man who stabbed six people in the Countdown supermarket in Auckland in what authorities described as a terrorist attack by an ISIS supporter.

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said at a news conference Friday that “a violent extremist undertook a terrorist attack on innocent New Zealanders.”

The suspect, who was from Sri Lanka, was already known to police due to his support for ISIS, Ardern said. She said police were able to kill him within 60 seconds of him starting the attack because they were already monitoring him.

Three victims were transported to hospitals in critical condition, two were in serious condition and one was in moderate condition, the Associated Press reported.

Police Commissioner Andrew Coster said the suspect, who has not been named, got the knife from within the store, according to AP.
