In a tweet today, legendary musician Kid Rock responded to Oprah Winfrey’s decision to support Pennsylvania Democratic Senate nominee John Fetterman over GOP Senate nominee Dr. Mehmet Oz.
Kid Rock trashed Oprah for the move, pointing out that she was a big part of Oz’ rise to fame on television.
“Oprah helped Dr. Oz with his career. I assume because she vetted him and found him to be a wonderful person,” Kid Rock explained.
Kid Rock then pointed out, “Now she is against him” adding, “Oprah is a fraud.”

Fetterman has seized on the endorsement by Oprah in a personal way as he said in a tweet yesterday, “It turns out Dr. Oz was not one of Oprah’s favorite things.”

Prior to that, Fetterman said in a tweet, “Oprah knows Dr. Oz very well and decided to support us ‘for many reasons.’ The best November surprise.”

Oprah issued a statement on her decision:
“At the beginning of the midterm campaigns, I said it was up to citizens to vote for who would represent them.”
“If I lived in Pennsylvania, I would have already cast my vote for John Fetterman. There are clear choices and some dynamic candidates who are working to represent the values that so many of us hold dear—like inclusion, compassion, and community.”
“So I ask that voters use discernment and choose wisely for the democracy of our country.”
