Adam Kinzinger Questions Elon Musk’s Business Prowess After Musk Tells Detractors, ‘Trash Me All Day, but It’ll Cost $8’

U.S. House Rep Adam Kinzinger (R-IL), who has transitioned from being a Trump critic to criticizing most Republicans and who won’t be serving another term in Congress, today questioned Elon Musk’s business prowess in a quote tweet of the platform’s new owner.

Musk has been receiving criticism from many of the left-wing users on the site after he proposed an $8/month fee to receive a checkmark and be verified on the site.

It seems more likely than ever that Musk will be implementing that option given the meltdown that has occurred since the proposal.

Musk declared in the original tweet, “Trash me all day, but it’ll cost $8.”

Kinzinger told Musk in a quote tweet, “Hell of a way to run a company Elon.”

Conservative Twitter user “Catturd,” who doesn’t have a verification checkmark despite having nearly one million followers told Kinzinger in response, “Little crybaby Adam Kinzinger couldn’t run a lemonade stand.”

“Catturd” followed that up in a separate reply by reminding Kinzinger, who is verified, “$8.”

In response to Musk’s original tweet “Catturd” added, “Trash me all day, but it’ll cost you a ratio.”
