On Tuesday Las Vegas police confirmed a search warrant was executed on a home in Henderson, NV in connection to the 1996 murder of Shakur. He was fatally shot one block away from the Las Vegas strip in September of that year.

“LVMPD can confirm a search warrant was served in Henderson, Nevada on July 17, 2023, as part of the ongoing Tupac Shakur homicide investigation. We will have no further comment at this time,” was the statement issued by Las Vegas PD on Tuesday.

No arrests have been made in the case at this time.

Shakur was 25 at the time of his death. He had attended a boxing match in Las Vegas with Suge Knight. After the boxing match, he was in a black sedan on Las Vegas Blvd when a white Cadillac pulled beside him and opened fire.

Shakur was shot four times in the chest. He died a little less than a week later from his injuries at University Medical Center on September 13th.

Currently, there are no other details in the investigation that have been released. Over the years there have many conspiracy theories surrounding TuPac’s death including some who believed he was still alive, similar to the Elvis conspiracy theories.

We will keep our eyes peeled for potential updates.
