Lauren Boebert Introduces Congressional Bill Honoring ‘Second Place’ to Lia Thomas Swimmer as ‘Winner’

U.S. House Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) in following Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL) and U.S. House Rep Bob Good (R-VA) and others in making a statement. Boebert believes Emma Weyant is the true winner of an NCAA swimming championship where transgender Lia Thomas took first place.

Not only that, but she is putting her money where her mouth is to make it known how she feels, despite liberal cancel culture, censorship, and many powerful people telling Americans they’re not allowed to have this opinion.

Boebert has introduced a bill that is now supported by 20 other Republicans to honor Weyant in congress. The Hill reported in part:

“Emma Weyant was the fasted woman competing in the 2022 NCAA Division I Women’s 500-Yard Freestyle, but her first-place win was stolen by a mediocre man who couldn’t cut it in men’s swimming,” Boebert said.

“Emma is a world-class student-athlete whose strong performances in the Summer Olympics and 2022 NCAA Division I Women’s Swimming and Diving Championship speak for themselves. These victories, coupled with her leadership of other women on her team and her dedication to excellence are worthy of Congressional recognition. I will keep working to save women’s sports from woke ideology threatening to strip women of a level playing field,” Boebert said.

Many have spoken out about this recent newsworthy event, including U.S. House Rep Jim Jordan (R-OH). We previously touched on that:

It will be interesting to see if the pendulum will swim back some politically on topics such as this. Many feel the left has gone too far left, too fast, putting their upcoming elections in jeopardy, but only time will tell for sure. American culture and politics have proven to be unpredictable time and time again.

The only thing we can count on for sure is more division and anger as that is what politicians use to raise money and get elected, unfortunately.
