The saga of disgraced lawyer Michael Avenatti came to an apparent conclusion yesterday as he received a 14-year prison sentence.
That brings Avenatti’s total to 19 years as his sentence will run after the five years he is already serving for stealing from his former client Stormy Daniels and attempting to extort footwear manufacturer Nike out of $25 million.
The 14-year sentence was handed down to Avenatti for cheating former clients out of millions and other financial crimes.
Lauren Boebert didn’t pull any punches as she took to Twitter to offer her observations on the situation, as Avenatti was a media darling for his Trump hate.
Boebert noted that “Michael Avenatti will be spending 14 years in federal prison.”
“Four years ago, the Left was touting him as presidential,” Boebert mocked.

Four years ago, the Left was touting him as presidential.
As Fox News previously pointed out, former CNN host Brian Stelter defended coverage of Avenatti as he said in 2019, “There are lots and lots of reasons why Avenatti was newsworthy when he was representing Stormy Daniels. Journalists did their jobs and questioned him — some more effectively than others.”
“Critics are doing their jobs and questioning the coverage — and that makes all of us better. But bad faith arguments make us all worse off,” Stelter insisted at the time.
Stelter added at the time, “My thesis back then, which still holds, is that all future US presidents will be television stars of some sort. TV star power will be a prerequisite for the presidency. [That’s why] I told Avenatti ‘one reason I’m taking you seriously as a contender is because of your presence on cable news.”
