Lauren Boebert Urges GOP AGs to Fight Biden Anti-2A Executive Orders, Believes It’s Not About ‘Guns’ But About ‘Control’

Earlier today, President Joe Biden announced a series of executive actions that he purports will reduce gun violence and urged Congress to pass broader gun-control legislation.

In the wake of recent mass shootings across the country, Biden directed the Department of Justice to craft a rule addressing the spread of untraceable “ghost guns” and publish an example of “red flag” legislation for states to follow.

Comparing the shootings to the Coronavirus, Biden declared, “This is an epidemic, for God’s sake, and it has to stop.”

Second amendment champion and U.S. House Rep Lauren Boebert (R-CO) has decried Biden’s decision to take executive action.

In a tweet yesterday, Boebert said, “Republican Attorney Generals, get ready to fight the Biden executive orders on gun control all the way!”

Speaking of her own position, Boebert added, “I’ll be doing my part from the House! Let’s ensure we stop this tyrant.”

Following the signing of the orders, Boebert tweeted, “Democrats flood illegal immigrants into our communities, support violent rioters, and want to take away our right to defend ourselves.”

“It’s not about guns. It’s about control,” Boebert insisted.

Democrats, like Boebert’s fellow Coloradoan U.S. House Rep Diana DeGette, have taken Biden’s cue.

DeGette said in a tweet that she believes “It’s a good start – but so much more still needs to be done. We need to ban assault weapons and high-capacity magazines NOW.”
