After questions swirled from reporters today and yesterday, President Trump took a test for the Coronavirus and the White House announced that the results are negative.
White House correspondent for PBS News Hour Yamiche Alcindor tweeted out: “Reminder: This was the same WH doctor who last night said President Trump didn’t need a test for the coronavirus. Now, a day later, the doctor says he tested Trump for the virus and he’s negative.” From the tweet, it appears that Yamiche may not believe the White House is being completely forthcoming.

MSNBC contributor, Joyce Alene, also tweeted out skeptically saying that, “Trump tests negative, according to his physician.” She then followed that up by saying, “LOL, apparently I’m just here for the ratio.” The Ratio refers to an unofficial Twitter law which states that if the amount of replies to a tweet greatly outnumbers the amount of retweets and likes, then the tweet is bad, meaning her followers clearly agree.

One of the reasons there was speculation that he might test positive is because he had recently taken a picture with a Brazilian spokesman who did.

The President was not initially aware of the situation but reporters made sure to make him aware at the press conference yesterday and pressed him about it further at today’s where he said, “I decided I should based on the press conference yesterday”.

These reporters are clearly driving the conversation in a negative direction towards the President and the White House and distracting from the problem that the country is facing regarding the Coronavirus and the increase in cases and deaths.
