Left Wing Outrage Ensues After NHL Player Won’t Play Along With LGBT Pride Night

Ivan Provorov, #9 for the NHL Philadelphia Flyers choose not to wear a rainbow jersey for warmups during the team’s “Pride Night”. The Russian cited his orthodox faith as the reason behind his decision.

Provorov told reporters after the game, “I respect everybody and I respect everybody’s choices. My choice is to stay true to myself and my religion.”

Sid Seixerio, co-host of Canada’s Breakfast Television went “off the rails” on Provorov’s choice.

Seixerio exclaimed he believes the NHL should fine the Flyers $1 million for the “offensive” action.

During his rant, Seixerio said, “Nothing scares me more than any human being who says ‘I’m not doing this because of my religious beliefs’ because when you look at people’s lives who normally say that publically you’d throw up at what you saw. I’ve seen that a million times in a lot of different ways, so don’t give me that…don’t feed me the religious beliefs line.”

Seixeiro seems to be unaware that his comments are offensive. He is demanding that Provorov fall in line with whatever those in authority put together. He shows he has no respect for Provorov’s religious freedom.

It is somewhat different in Canada when it comes to civil liberties and freedoms Americans may take for granted. During covid lockdowns, many who choose to gather to worship were targeted and pastors were arrested.

With freedom of religion in America things were slightly different although some states did tried to stop people from gathering to worship.

The Flyer’s head coach John Tortorella was asked if he considered benching Provorov. He shared he hadn’t considered it, he showed respect to Provorov for being true to himself.

The response from the Flyers organization doesn’t seem to sit well with woke media but in our opinion is refreshing to see in our view.
