Ray Liotta has passed away in his sleep at 67. He was in the Dominican Republic where he was filming Dangerous Waters.
It is not yet clear what Liotta died of but currently there is no suspicion of foul play. He leaves behind his daughter Karsen and fiance Jacy Nittolo.
Liotta was well known for his roles in “Goodfellas” as well as “Field of Dreams”. He was born in Newark New Jersey in 1954 and was adopted by Alfred and Mary Liotta.
Liotta got his start on the soap opera “Another World”. He played Shoeless Joe Jackson in “Field of Dreams” (1989). When he heard that Martin Scorsese was casting for “Goodfellas” (1990) Liotta lobbied hard for the role of Henry Hill, the role for which he is best known.
