Juan Williams is leaving ‘The Five’, the popular TV show on Fox News. Many who still watch Fox News will be thrilled to hear this news, as Fox News was traditionally known as a more right-leaning network. Juan will continue as a Fox News political analyst.
Juan Williams was often on Fox News to counteract what most of the other opinions were or to offer some sort of left-leaning opinion to what Jesse Waters, Greg Gutfeld, and the other hosts usually had to say. Many thought that Williams went beyond just counterbalancing though, and sometimes tried to say outlandish things just to agitate the other hosts, and perhaps the viewers as well. Tim Young recently tweeted out the breaking news:

Williams joined ‘The Five’ in 2011 as a backup co-host for Fox News. A few years after that, he became a permanent fixture. Although many Trump-supporting Republicans have boycotted the news channel after their unhappiness with their reporting of the 2020 presidential election, clearly many still watch. Those who are left watching, and even those who no longer watch, will likely be glad to see Juan gone.
The Hollywood reporter reported in part:
“As Juan Williams announced on air today, he will be leaving The Five to live in Washington, D.C. full time. We are incredibly grateful for his commitment to the show and its success over the last several years,” said Megan Albano vp for The Five and weekend programming, in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter. “As we started planning The Five’s return to its New York City studio at our headquarters a few months ago, Juan decided to stay in Washington, DC permanently. We accommodated his request, understanding and appreciating his desire to remain closer to his family and recognizing that a remote co-hosting role on a roundtable in-studio program was not a long-term option. While we will miss his insightful contributions each night and look forward to welcoming him on set whenever he’s in New York, we are pleased to have him continue his longtime role as a senior political analyst with Fox News Media.”
It is unclear to us who, if anyone, will replace Juan Williams in the short term. Many have turned to NewsMax, OAN, and other sources of news on the internet as they feel Fox News has become a diet version of the other mainstream media channels.
That being the case, Fox News has made many recent changes lately to try to appease angry viewers and accommodate for the noticeable drop in viewership. Another thing they seem to have done is shore up support for Tucker Carlson, due to his immense popularity. This comes despite many on the left calling for Carlson to be fired, time and time again, for his often controversial, but generally true takes.
