Liberals Outraged After Kyrsten Sinema Deals Fatal Blow to Biden’s Efforts to Bypass the Filibuster

U.S. Sen Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) sent liberals into a rage today after dealing a fatal blow to Joe Biden’s efforts to bypass the filibuster.

In a speech on the Senate floor, Sinema reminded Democrats about the last time they bypassed the filibuster to get judicial nominees passed.

Republicans ultimately ended up doing the same to get Supreme Court nominees through when they got the power back in the Senate.

Additionally, Sinema said removing the filibuster would not guarantee “that we prevent demagogues from being elected” and that getting rid of it would merely be treating the “symptom” of partisanship and not the underlying problem.

TPUSA’s Benny Johnson shared a clip of Sinema’s speech and remarked, “Sen. Sinema drives a stake through the heart of the Biden Agenda.”

MSNBC’s Mehdi Hasan said of the decision by Sinema, “SHOCKER: Sinema will continue to support the filibuster and won’t budge.”

“She says she supports the voting rights bills but won’t do anything to ensure that they pass. Shame on her. And if Democrats re-elect her in Arizona in 2024, shame on them,” Hasan insisted.

Stand-up comedian Noel Castor floated a conspiracy theory that Democrats often use and suggested, “Whoever bought Kyrsten Sinema sure got their money’s worth. @SenatorSinema“

While Democrats were able to elect more radical senators in Georgia due to the loosening of voting laws prior to the 2020 election, Sinema ran a “centrist” campaign to win the election in 2018.

Another MSNBC host Lawrence O’Donnell claimed, “Sinema delivers the Senate’s stupidest speech by a Democrat in an edge of tears voice to give childish words a melodramatic effect.”
