Liz Harrington Lashes Out at ‘The Swamp’ Over the Lack of Troops at the Southern Border After ‘ICE Mass Release’ Video Airs Live On Fox News

Fox News’ Bill Melugin tweeted out a new video today showing an “ICE mass release” of single adult male migrants at the San Antonio, Texas airport which aired live on Fox News.

Trump spokeswoman Liz Harrington lashed out at “The Swamp” over the lack of troops at the southern border in a quote tweet of the video.

Melugin reported, “NEW: We were on scene as ICE mass released another a large group of single adult male migrants at San Antonio airport this morning.”

“A NGO escorted the men inside. It aired live on @FoxNews. People at the airport told us they’ve seen these mass ICE releases happening for months,” Melugin explained.

Harrington declared in the quote tweet, “The Swamp will send troops to fight an invasion of Ukraine. They won’t send troops to stop the invasion of the U.S. because they’re the ones facilitating it.”

On Monday, Pentagon spokesman John Kirby said up to 8,500 U.S. service members were put on heightened alert for deployment to bolster NATO allies’ eastern defenses should Russia invade.

In contrast, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin only authorized the deployment of as many as 3,000 troops to the U.S. border with Mexico for the 2022 fiscal year.

At its peak, the Pentagon had authorized up to 5,500 troops on the border, which dropped to 4,000 in the summer of 2020 when crossings had finally dropped.

It has been reported though, that the number of migrants stopped at the southern border has been steadily increasing and that U.S. Customs and Border Protection reports that over the last three months there has been a 137% increase in migrant encounters compared to the same time last year.
