Marco Rubio has Strong Words for Democrats Celebrating Trump’s Arrest in New Clip

U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) has a message for those celebrating Trump’s arrest, “Today is a bad day for all of us”.

Rubio posted a video message to Twitter:

“Today is a bad day for all of us & we are all going to regret it for a very long time,” Rubio captioned his tweet.

Rubio started his video message, “Put aside for a moment whether you like Trump or not like him, whether you are for him or not for him. Today is a bad day for all of us.”

“Today American politics crosses a line it’s never gonna come back from,” Rubio declared. “After today, especially on the basis of how ridiculous these charges are. After today, every prosecutor in America that wants to make a name for themselves now is basically going to have permission to go after someone in the other party.”

“What’s going to stop some Republican or conservative prosecutor now from saying, ‘Well now I’m going after Joe Biden,’ or his family, or Bill Clinton or Hilliary Clinton, or Nancy Pelosi, or whoever,” Rubio questioned. “What’s gonna stop them? Nothing’s going to stop them. Because today we set a new normal”

“Today we set the new normal that if you really want to take someone down nothing should stop you. You should be able to manipulate the law anyway you want to charge someone. And what really is damaging is that the charges here are absurd.”

“You’re talking about a misdemeanor if proven, a misdemeanor that had a statute of limitation that expired,” he continued. “So this prosecutor has decided it to link it to a federal charge, election law charge, that the federal government decided not to pursue. And all of it built on the testimony of a convicted liar, of a convicted liar.”

“And so people see this for what it is, it’s political. But it’s more than just political it’s poison to our country, Rubio exclaimed. It will permanently change politics in our country forever. We are going to regret this day, whether you like Trump or not. We are going to regret this day for a very long time. We are setting a new normal, a damaging new normal that is going to disfigure American politics and put us on a destructive road.”

Rubio is calling out the apparent weaponization of the judicial system against former President Trump, who is also the current GOP front-runner for 2024.

Trump has called out the left for their continued witch hunts, two failed impeachments, and constant negative news coverage, and now this move by Manhattan Soros-funded District Attorney Alvin Bragg (D).

As Bragg minimizes charges against violent offenders, he stretched the judicial system to bring charges against former President Trump. Bragg made a point in his campaign that he would get Trump and it seems he has done some legal gymnastics to get his indictment.

Time will tell what effect this will have on our political system going forward. Many are with Rubio and believe we will regret this day in American history.
