Marjorie Taylor Greene Rages on Behalf of Kevin McCarthy, Throws ‘Friends’ Matt Gaetz and Lauren Boebert Under the Bus

U.S. House Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) has spoken publicly about the dissenters of U.S. House Rep. Kevin McCarthy for speaker. 5 Reps are a no, and 9 more could be persuaded to be no as well according to reports.

Reps Matt Gaetz (R-FL) and Lauren Boebert (R-CO) are two usual Greene allies, but today “MTG” is throwing them under the bus. Greene claims some of the dissenters want things for themselves to be persuaded to vote for McCarthy. Greene claims she has not asked for anything as far as committee assignments, but rambled on about how she lost all her committees anyway.

This implies to us that Greene wants her support of McCarthy and what many call the swamp to lead to her getting committees back, and that this is merely a different strategy.

Greene claimed Gaetz has been a supporter of former Speaker of Paul Ryan in the past to try to make him look inconsistent. Wayne Dupree posting her rant clip captioned:

“What the hell is this about again? She didn’t ask for a committee seat from McCarthy? Attacking Matt Gaetz? She’s calling out Chip Roy too? She’s burning bridges, eh?”

U.S. House Rep. Bob Good (R-VA) has been integral to this battle of getting someone other than McCarthy seated as speaker. Three people have just been nominated for house speaker, McCarthy, Biggs, and Democrat Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (R-NY) as the vote battle rages on.
