Mark Finchem asks Why Kevin McCarthy Won’t Release J6 Tapes to Public and says ‘Many People are Being Wrongly Imprisoned…’

U.S. House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) has given Fox News host Tucker Carlson access to the January 6th tapes. Many Democrats, especially U.S. House Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) are furious about this. However, the general public and other journalists still do not have the tapes.

Republican State Rep. and most recent GOP nominee for Secretary of State Mark Finchem (AZ), is demanding more from McCarthy. Finchem, a major supporter and proponent of election integrity measures, and of former and possible future President Trump had this to say to his large audience:

“Why has Kevin McCarthy not released the J6 tapes yet to the public? We want to know what was on them. Many people are being wrongly imprisoned & President Trump was wrongly blamed for what happened. We won’t get to the bottom of it until the tapes are released. Release the tapes!”

Although Tucker Carlson does enjoy large support from a wide swath of conservatives and Republicans on the right wing, many want more information faster. There has been much speculation that prisoners being held over from January 6th, 2021 for the capitol riot may not have been treated humanely.

Many, such as U.S. House Rep. Marjorie Taylor Green (R-GA) and U.S. House Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) have been keeping the issue in the limelight. While we don’t condone illegal activity, citizens deserve due process and fair treatment under the constitution.

There is not enough confidence that that is happening among far too large a swath of Americans right now for comfort in our opinion. We will see what Carlson finds and if McCarthy has any response to calls for a wider release to find out what exactly happened.
