McCarthy’s Floor Speech Allegedly Interrupted By AOC Who Admits That She ‘Did’ Vote For Biden to be FDR

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) has stalled a vote on the Build Back Better Act in the House Thursday with a lengthy floor speech that is stretching into the early hours of Friday morning.

During the speech, a Congresswoman identified as member of “The Squad” Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) briefly interrupted it.

According to MSNBC’s Kyle Griffin, McCarthy quipped during his speech that U.S. House Rep Abigail Spanberger (D-VA) “said nobody elected Biden to be FDR.”

From the back of the audience, Ocasio-Cortez yelled “I did.”

Ocasio-Cortez has since retweeted Griffin’s tweet.

A recent tweet from McCarthy’s account noted that, “Democrats have left the Capitol for the night.”

“If they think I’m going to stop, I’m not. It’s too important for the American people to know what’s in this Socialist Spending Scam,” McCarthy added.

Watch the live stream of McCarthy’s speech on Twitter, which has now passed the 4 hour mark:

“Every page of the Democrats’ Socialist Spending Scam will be paid for by or borrowed from you: America’s hardworking taxpayers. This is the single most reckless and irresponsible spending bill in our nation’s history.”
