Media Critical of Stephanie Grisham as Kayleigh McEnany Replaces Her as White House Press Secretary

It was announced today that White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham was leaving her position to become Chief of Staff for First Lady Melania Trump after Lindsay Reynolds resigned early this week to spend time with her family.

It has been announced that Kayleigh McEnany will replace Grisham as the next Press Secretary.

Members of the media were critical by saying that Grisham never held a press briefing. She did, however, appear on Fox News many times to keep Americans up to date. Most recently she had appeared on March 25th to give an update on the $2 trillion stimulus package and combating the coronavirus.

PBS White House Correspondent Yamiche Alcindor posted on the announcement to Twitter, “Grisham never held a single White House briefing.”

Vox journalist Aaron Rupar said, “Stephanie Grisham got paid by taxpayers to do softball interviews on Fox News.”

White House correspondent for Playboy Brian Karem gave his parting shot.

NOW: The press secretary who was never there is no longer there. @PressSec goes back to the East Wing. Never held a briefing. Never showed up with @realDonaldTrump during his briefings. Rarely seen. And now . . . buh bye.
