Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer (D) was caught at a bar violating her own COVID. Whitmer was photographed at the establishment and one of the participates posted the picture along with others. The picture that contained Whitmer was later removed.

The current guideline issued by the Whitmer state; “Consumption of food or beverages is permitted only in a designated dining area where patrons are seated, groups of patrons are separated by at least 6 feet, no more than 6 patrons are seated together (at a table, booth, or group of fixed seats), and groups of patrons do not intermingle.” Clearly, she violated her own rule.
After being caught in violation of the rule her press secretary released a statement from the Governor. “Throughout the pandemic, I’ve been committed to following public health protocols. Yesterday, I went with friends to a local restaurant. As more people arrived, the tables were pushed together. Because we were all vaccinated, we didn’t stop to think about it. In retrospect, I should have thought about it. I am human. I made a mistake, and I apologize.”

A top aid of Whitmer’s posted pictures from Florida disregarding the Governor’s travel advisory during spring break. We previously reported on the matter:
A top aide to Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, Tricia Foster, has stirred up controversy by posting pictures on Facebook of her family’s spring break trip to Florida, disregarding the governor’s travel warnings.
On Friday, Breitbart News posted photos it said were from Foster’s Facebook page, showing what appeared to be Foster’s family and her family’s friends on a beach…
When asked where one of her absent family members was, Foster responded, “home with covid [coronavirus].”
On April 3, just days before Foster left for Florida, Whitmer urged Michiganders to avoid spring break trips to Florida, WVPE reported:
“Gov. Gretchen Whitmer says a factor in Michigan’s surging COVID-19 cases is fewer people were infected earlier in the pandemic than in other states. She also is concerned about spring break travel, particularly to Florida. Florida and Michigan have reported the highest and second-highest number of cases of a more contagious variant that was first identified in the U.K. Michigan had the United States’ worst infection rate in the past two weeks.”
Some may find it hard to take a politician seriously when they themselves and their staff don’t even follow the guidelines they put in place. Good for the and not for me attitude of Gavin Newsom seemed a driving force in the recall effort made against him. Who knows maybe Whitmer will be next?
