Michelle Malkin Questions Need for ‘Social Distancing Store Decals’ as Thousands Pack Philadelphia to Protest

Earlier today, a local Philadelphia NBC station reported that thousands of people packed Philadelphia to “continue to protest racism and police brutality following the death of George Floyd.”

In a short video shot from the sky, they showed crowds stretching “from the steps of the Art Museum and past the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul.” Most did not appear to be practicing social distancing.

America First supporter Michelle Malkin found this to be hypocritical and pointed out that “while you’re stuck in line at the grocery obediently waiting on one of those stupid ‘STAND HERE’ social distancing store decals, thousands are crammed together on Philly streets as left-wing public health experts cheer them.”

Pennslyvania Governor Tom Wolf said he believes that he “took a real gamble” participating in a Wednesday march in Harrisburg along with hundreds of others.

Wolf said, “That was inconsistent, I acknowledge that, but I was trying to show support for a cause, the eradication of racism, that I think is very, very important, and I was trying to show my support for that effort.”

Republican Pennslyvania US House Rep Fred Keller tweeted that day, “Gov. Wolf said Pennsylvanians protesting for their right to earn a living were ‘cowardly.’ He threatened to withhold taxpayer funds from those who didn’t social distance. Today, he’s literally walking arm-in-arm with protesters. His hypocrisy knows no end.”
