Mitch McConnell Will Consider $2000 Stimulus with Other Trump Demands After Blocking Initial Vote

After fire and fury erupted from conservatives and liberals after initial reports that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) blocked a vote for $2000 stimulus checks, details are coming in. Mitch, who has already abandoned President Trump’s fight to prove alleged election fraud in the 2020 presidential election isn’t popular with many on either side right about now.

But it appears that hopes for a $2000 check for many Americans may still be alive, and Mitch might just want more goodies to come along with it. National File’s Tom Pappert recently touched on the topic in part:

Multiple reports indicate McConnell has agreed to the President’s demands for the Senate to take up the House’s bill for $2,000 direct stimulus payments, begin investigations into the credible accusations of widespread voter fraud in battleground states, and reexamine or gut Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act.

It was reported that McConnell initially did not intend to discuss raising the direct stimulus to $2,000, but Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) indicated he would block the override of President Trump’s veto of the 2020 NDAA if McConnell did not allow for discussion on raising direct stimulus checks.

It is reported that Senators Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue are going to support the measure for $2000 checks:

Time will tell how this all plays out. The Democrats are angry with big tech as well, which means there is a chance for action on ‘230’, but their issues with big tech are, in part, for opposite reasons the right is unhappy with the likes of Facebook, Google, and Twitter.

Many GOP Congressmen have shot down the idea of a big stimulus altogether, while simultaneously supporting massive amounts of perpetual foreign aid overseas, no matter how bad Americans are hurting. This may hurt the GOP in the upcoming Georgia runoff and could end up costing Mitch McConnell his Majority Leader spot.

We’ll update you on this liquid situation as we are able to.
