Moderate Dem Ohio Senate candidate Tim Ryan announced yesterday that he was planning to join Joe Biden at an Ohio campaign stop.
Ryan told CNN’s “State of the Union” host Dana Bash that it was a “huge opportunity” to be seen with Biden.
When asked if he would join Biden, Ryan responded, “Yes, I will. This is a huge opportunity.”
The White House said last week that Biden plans to be in Ohio in September for the groundbreaking of Intel’s new $20 billion semiconductor facilities

Meanwhile, Ryan’s GOP opponent J.D. Vance appeared on Fox News yesterday and spoke with host Maria Bartiromo.
“Tim Ryan tries to be one thing in his TV commercials but his voting record just doesn’t back it up.”
“On the one hand he criticizes mildly Joe Biden’s debt forgiveness plan for college students.”
“On the other hand he voted for the exact same thing two years ago.”
