Monday Night Football Game Postponed After Bills Player Seriously Injured While Making Tackle

Tonight’s NFL Monday Night Football game has been postponed after Buffalo Bills Safety Damar Hamlin collapsed on the field after making a tackle.

The game was being played between the Bills and the Cincinnati Bengals in Cincinnati, Ohio.

According to Cincinnati Fox 19 reporter Joe Danneman, “Hamlin has a pulse, but is not breathing on his own.”

“He is being transported to UC. Needed AED and CPR on the field,” Danneman explained.

Fox 19’s Tricia Macke provided another update as she said in a tweet, “I am told that Damar Hamlin has been intubated and is currently listed in critical condition.”

Macke later added in a separate tweet, “I am being told game is cancelled.”

In a tweet, the Bengals’ Twitter account said, “Sending our thoughts and prayers to Damar” along with a praying hands emoji.”

UPDATE: Jordon Rooney, who is Hamlin’s “friend and marketing rep,” said in a tweet, “Update on Damar: His vitals are back to normal and they have put him to sleep to put a breathing tube down his throat. They are currently running tests.”
