On Sunday House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) accused President Joe Biden of pulling a “bait and switch” in his first 100 days in office, and said that he has failed to live up to his promises of bipartisan governing.
McCarthy told “Fox News Sunday” anchor Chris Wallace, “If I look at the 100 days, it’s more like a bait and switch. The bait was he was going to govern as bipartisan but the switch is he’s governed as a socialist.”
It has also been reported that Biden hasn’t met with McCarthy yet since taking office, although he has met with Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY).
Yesterday, CBN reporter David Brody asked White House press secretary Jen Psaki about that report to which she smiled and disputed that tens of millions of people might be concerned about that.
Brody retorted that tens of millions of people are concerned about various legislation being passed without bipartisanship in Congress.
Psaki responded that she wasn’t sure that “polling bears that out” and added, “the president’s view is that bringing the country together is bringing the American people together.”
U.S. House Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene appeared on Newsmax where they played a clip of the exchange to which asked, “Why should we be shocked?”
Greene explained that she doesn’t believe the Biden administration cares about unity or bipartisanship and they just care about “their agenda” and “ramming it through.”
“It’s very much a hate America agenda,” Greene concluded, after explaining that the administration is for “the elite” and “woke corporations.”
