U.S. Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) announced today that she has introduced Articles of Impeachment against Attorney General Merrick Garland after the Mar-a-Lago raid.
Greene first made the announcement during a press conference outside the Capitol as she held up the document for reporters to see.
In a clip that she shared in a tweet, Greene said that Garland has “abused his position of power as the Attorney General to politically persecute Joe Biden’s enemies.”
“The whole purpose of this is to prevent Donald Trump from ever being able to hold office,” Greene explained.
Greene then insisted that “We cannot tolerate this in America.”

Politico reporter Olivia Beavers announced in a quote tweet of the clip of Greene’s press conference that Greene’s spokesperson had told her that “they have three cosponsors: Reps. Biggs, Higgins, Mary Miller”
All three GOP representatives have been actively supporting Donald Trump on Twitter following the raid and Greene retweeted Beavers.
