Rep Paul Gosar Tells MTG ‘Way to Go’ and That He ‘Absolutely’ Supports Her Filing Articles of Impeachment Against Merrick Garland

U.S. Congressman Paul Gosar (R-AZ) applauded U.S. Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) for filing Articles of Impeachment against Attorney General Merrick Garland today.

In a quote tweet of Greene, Gosar declared, “I absolutely support this. Way to go, @RepMTG!”

U.S. Congressmen Andy Biggs (R-AZ) and Clay Higgins (R-LA) reportedly cosponsored the resolution as well as U.S. Congresswoman Mary Miller (R-IL).

Greene also shared in a tweet that U.S. Congressman Andy Harris (R-MD) cosponsored the resolution.

“Thank you to @RepAndyHarrisMD for cosponsoring my resolution to #ImpeachGarland

As we previously reported, Greene first made the announcement during a press conference outside the Capitol as she held up the document for reporters to see.

In the clip that Gosar quote tweeted, Greene said that Garland has ā€œabused his position of power as the Attorney General to politically persecute Joe Bidenā€™s enemies.ā€

ā€œThe whole purpose of this is to prevent Donald Trump from ever being able to hold office,ā€ Greene explained.

Greene then insisted that ā€œWe cannot tolerate this in America.ā€

In a follow-up tweet, Greene then showed that the next House Resolution was No. 1318 and she had written ā€œImpeaching Merrick Garlandā€ underneath.

Not long thereafter, Greene shared the Articles of Impeachment in a tweet.
