NBC Makes Statement About ‘Freelance’ Journalist Following Rittenhouse Jurors, Says They ‘Regret Incident’ and Will Comply With Authorities

As we reported earlier, Fox News had asked MSNBC for a statement about a man who was caught following jurors in the Kyle Rittenhouse trial. At that time, it appeared unclear if the person caught who also received a traffic citation was actually affiliated with NBC or MSNBC news.

Now, NBC has made a statement, appearing to claim to be aware of the person after all, but claiming that it was a “freelance” journalist.

Nevertheless, NBC News claims they will work with authorities if there are any investigations and that the “freelance” wasn’t taking pictures. Why was he there though? The judge in the Rittenhouse case has said that this is a very serious matter.

“Last night, a freelancer received a traffic citation. While the traffic violation took place near the jury van, the freelancer never contacted or intended to contact the jurors during deliberations, and never photographed or intended to photograph them.

We regret the incident and will fully cooperate with the authorities on any investigation.” It appears that since they “regret the incident” they are aware of who this person is claiming to be affiliated with MSNBC after all.

We will update this story as needed. An earlier clip from Fox News that we posted to Twitter implied that NBC and MSNBC did not know who this person was, that appears to not be the case now.
