Eric Swalwell Asserts That If He Had Done Anything Wrong, the FBI Would Have Raided His House in Response to Boebert’s Accusations

After U.S. House Rep Lauren Boebert (R-CO) tore into three Dem House reps yesterday at the discipline vote for U.S. House Rep Paul Gosar (R-AZ).

Boebert spent the most time on U.S. House Rep Eric Swalwell (D-CA) and he responded in a tweet where he professed his innocence and hit back at Boebert over a recent report that her former campaign manager had her home raided by the FBI.

It seems that Democrats will do whatever it takes to weaponize the FBI against their political opponents these days, as the raid was part of an investigation being led by Colorado’s Democratic Attorney General Phil Weiser.

Swalwell responded to Boebert’s speech in a tweet where he claimed, “Weird. If I had done anything wrong the FBI would have raided my house. They didn’t (and went as far to issue a statement saying I did nothing wrong).”

“BUT yesterday they did raid the home of @laurenboebert’s campaign manager. They’re always projecting,” Swalwell added.

Actress Kathy Griffin, who once posed with a decapitated, bloody mannequin head of former President Donald Trump, responded in support of Swalwell.

“Swalwell! They are so obsessed with you,” Griffin asserted.

The Daily Beast reported on why the investigation is underway, which really highlights the political motivations.

They explained that Mesa County Clerk Tina Peters briefly became a star on the right last summer when she appeared at MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell’s “cyber-symposium” on voter fraud.

A few days before her appearance, Ron Watkins, who is exploring a run for Congress in Arizona, posted images from Mesa County voting machines, while hard drives from the county’s equipment later leaked online.

Peters is considered to be potentially responsible for the leak and so Democratic Colorado Secretary of State Jena Griswold had her powers stripped.
