New Jersey Governor’s Race Too Close To Call, Although Many Predict Dem Murphy May Eek Out Win After Late Night Vote Counting Ended Early

Update: Dave Wasserman, who correctly predicted the Youngkin win in Virginia by calling it last night first, says that Murphy pretty much has it here.

It looks like Phil Murphy will probably hold his seat as New Jersey Governor. This race has not been called officially though.

“Democrat Phil Murphy and Republican Jack Ciattarelli are locked in an unexpectedly close race for New Jersey governor. 88% in, still expecting a Murphy victory. But this just goes to show, voting matters! Republicans had some awesome gains tonight.”

Last night they stopped the vote count early. Fox News had reported that it could take days for the official call. We think it’ll be sooner, but time will tell.

This story will be updated periodically. Meanwhile, Virginia Republicans swept, taking back their state house, governorship, Lieutenant governorship, and attorney general positions. This is very bad for Biden and the Dems.
