New Twitter owner Elon Musk responded to a tweet today from conservative commentator Tim Young in regards to whether or not former President Donald Trump uses the platform by telling him that he is “fine” whether or not he does.
Young shared an article that he wrote discussing the situation titled, “Musk Reinstates Trump – And the Left Loses It.”
“It’s been a week since @elonmusk brought Trump back… and without him even tweeting once… The left can’t handle it,” Young explained in the tweet.
Musk opined in response to Young, “I’m fine with Trump not tweeting. The important thing is that Twitter correct a grave mistake in banning his account, despite no violation of the law or terms of service.”
“Deplatforming a sitting President undermined public trust in Twitter for half of America,” Musk insisted.

Deplatforming a sitting President undermined public trust in Twitter for half of America.
Young replied to Musk and told him that he believes, “This is exactly the stance this platform should be taking. Censorship is a slippery slope.”

In the article, Young pointed out that U.S. House Rep Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) criticized the decision by Musk and claimed that last time Trump was on Twitter, he used “this platform was used to incite an insurrection, multiple people died, the Vice President of the United States was nearly assassinated, and hundreds were injured . . .”
In response, many on the right shared the last tweets that Trump had made on Twitter prior to his removal, which called for peace, including Donald Trump Jr.
“That’s a lie and you know it Sandy. You’re just used to being able to do that on this platform because prior to about a week ago everyone at corporate would run cover for your BS,” Trump Jr. told Ocasio-Cortez.

Censoring a sitting U.S. President should be looked at as domestic terrorism and part of an operation of intrigue to de-platform a political figure that doesn’t represent their interests.
