During an interview with Laura Ingraham on Fox News last night, Georgia Governor Brian Kemp issued a stern call for the Secretary of State’s office to conduct a signature audit of ballots after allegations of fraud in Georgia were presented at a Senate hearing.
“I called early on for a signature audit. Obviously, the Secretary of State, per the laws of the Constitution, would have to order that. He has not done that. I think it should be done,” Kemp began.
Referencing the Senate hearing, Kemp concluded, “Especially after what we saw today. There needs to be transparency on that. Hopefully, in the next 24 hours, we’ll see a lot more.”
Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich applauded the interview and said, “Governor Kemp calling for a signature audit of the Georgia ballots and indicating that he is troubled by the evidence at the state senate hearing is an encouraging step in the right direction.”

White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany tweeted out the clip from the interview and said, “FINALLY Georgia Governor Brian Kemp is calling for a signature audit. What took him so long??? This is BASIC election integrity ignored until now…”
Pro-Trump former Republican Virginia House candidate Jason Roberge responded to McEnany’s tweet that he believes “In the 11th hour he realizes that he is about a minute away from being primaried out… He better call for a full blown forensic audit.”

He better call for a full blown forensic audit
At a press conference on November 20th, Kemp stopped short of completely calling for an audit, as he claimed. At the time, he said, “Georgians I have heard from are extremely concerned about this, so I encourage Secretary Raffensperger to consider addressing these concerns.”
“It seems simple enough to conduct a sample audit of signatures on the absentee ballot envelopes and compare those to the signatures on applications and on file at the Secretary of State’s Office,” Kemp added.
