Nicholas Sandmann Announces Settlement With NBC, Promises ‘Lots of News to Come’

Nicholas Sandmann announced tonight that he has settled with NBC, marking the third settlement that he has reached with a major media outlet over their coverage of a 2019 incident where he was smeared.

The media had lambasted the Covington Catholic High School student from Kentucky, now 19, over a confrontation with a native American activist at the 2019 March for Life in Washington, D.C while wearing a MAGA hat.

In a tweet, Sandmann said, “At this time I would like to release that NBC and I have reached a settlement. The terms are confidential.”

Sandmann promised in a follow-up tweet, “I will have more updates this winter through summer. Lots of news to come.”

Twitter user “mr_money_fire” responded to Sandmann’s original tweet about the settlement, “Hopefully you left some money in their bank for Kyle (Rittenhouse).”

Sandmann told Sean Hannity at Fox News after Rittenhouse was acquitted of homicide charges in the shooting deaths of two Kenosha, Wisconsin, rioters Nov. 19 that the teenager’s experiences seemed similar and that as of November, he had six pending suits against other media outlets himself.

“It’s terrible, Sean — as a 17-year-old in Kyle’s case and mine 16, your mind is still developing. So to deal with an overload of stress where you have this feeling that half of the country — hundreds of millions of people — hate you for something that you are innocent of, but how you are painted can do a lot to you mentally,” Sandmann lamented at the time.

Sandmann explained, “It takes a very strong will to be able to resist that and keep a level head. I think that Kyle Rittenhouse is dealing with that right now.”

In a tweet at the end of November, Sandmann weighed in on those trying to prevent Rittenhouse from attending Arizona State and said, “Disgusting that people are trying to prevent Kyle Rittenhouse from entering college.”

Sandmann then pointed out, “But history does repeat itself, and @ACLUofKY came after me,” asking, “so what did you expect?”

Following the 2019 incident and the backlash, Sandmann gave an interview to NBC TODAY’s Savannah Guthrie:
