After hearing of the FBI raid on Trump’s Florida, Mar-A-Lago home, Governor Ron DeSantis shared his thoughts on the Raid as well as the “inflation”bill that has recently passed in the U.S. Senate.
“The raid of MAL is another escalation in the weaponization of federal agencies against the Regime’s political opponents, while people like Hunter Biden get treated with kid gloves. Now the Regime is getting another 87k IRS agents to wield against its adversaries? Banana Republic.”

Two Democrats who hope to be the one to take the Governor’s mansion away from DeSantis, both decided to call out the popular politician for his tweet.
Former Governor of Florida Charlie Crist shared his rebuke of DeSantis and then followed it up with “donate to defeat him”, fundraising off of the raid of a former president.
“Let’s get this straight: Ron DeSantis will call out the FBI for investigating the former president who attempted to overthrow the 2020 election but still hasn’t condemn the Nazis who rallied for him weeks ago.”
“DeSantis has no problem picking and choosing his battles – and it’s clear as day that democracy is not what he’s fighting for. Pitch in $10 now to defeat him. >>”

Nikki Fried, Florida’s current commissioner of agriculture and gubernatorial hopeful also used Twitter to announce she was going to rebuke DeSantis, but she was going to do it at a press conference in front of the governor’s mansion.
“Ron DeSantis is defending Donald Trump instead of the rule of law, so I’ll be holding a press conference tomorrow in front of the governor’s mansion to remind Floridians that nobody is above the law.”
Fried began her conference by declaring “we all deserve answers about what happened at Mar-A-Lago last night”. She then dove into her attack on DeSantis, she started with associating DeSantis with ”Nazis”, the same attack that Crist used. They both want to see DeSantis disavow people they are calling Nazis.
Fried then rebuked DeSantis for not condemning January 6th while he attacks the FBI. She then called his threats of holding the FBI accountable “revenge” and “unamerican”. She ended her press conference by saying “nobody is above the law”, and then listed off Donald Trump, Ron Desantis, and herself.

Based on polling, it seems that DeSantis will likely end up facing off with Fried this November, however, it seems that any Democrat is unlikely to unseat the wildly popular Governor.
Many Republicans across the country have moved to Florida because of the policies DeSantis puts forth. Notably, he recently suspended a state attorney for committing to declining to enforce Florida law.
It is apparent that DeSantis’ rivals are going to use every opportunity to fundraise off of what DeSantis says and does.
