‘Non-Woke’ Top Gun 2 Becomes Highest-Grossing Movie of Tom Cruise’s Career

“Non-woke” Top Gun 2 continues to break records and the most recent one involves the film’s lead actor Tom Cruise, as it has become the highest-grossing movie of his career.

“Top Gun: Maverick” has now earned $806.3 million globally at the box office, surpassing “Mission: Impossible – Fallout,” which collected $791 million worldwide in 2018.

As we previously reported, the “Top Gun” sequel has surpassed “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” ($398 million) to claim the No. 1 spot in U.S. domestic sales for the year.

Brazil’s president Jair Bolsonaro gave his approval for the movie yesterday as he tweeted, “- Top Gun Maverick: 10” along with a thumbs up.

Bolsonaro added a video in a reply and said, “Real life Top Guns of our glorious Brazilian Air Force, under the command of Brigadier @CBaptistaJr , always ready to protect our airspace and our Brazil.”

Arizona GOP State Sen Wendy Rogers was one of the first to applaud the “non-woke” movie after it went “gangbusters” at the box office on Memorial Day weekend.

It was reported that in its first three days in North American theaters, “Top Gun: Maverick” earned an estimated $124 million in ticket sales.

Cruise notched his first career $100 million opening with the total in domestic sales, and tallied up $248 total million when including international showings.

In addition, it was reported that Paramount Pictures had no plans to show the sequel in theaters in China.

Taiwan celebrated the decision not to bow to China and the movie broke box office records in Taiwan, raking in over 100 million Taiwan dollars ($3.4 million) in its opening week.
