NY AG Letitia James Announces ‘Legal Action’ Against Trump Organization After Being Put on Notice at AZ Rally

New York Attorney General Letitia James announced yesterday that she has taken “legal action” against the Trump organization after being put on notice by the former president at his Arizona rally.

As we previously reported, Trump played a reel of James at the rally showing the attorney general before she was elected to the position promising that when she is in office she will sue Trump.

“Keep our prosecutors out of politics because this could work very much in the other direction also, and all it takes is a few more votes and it’ll work in the other direction. And that would be very, very sad,” Trump said to introduce the clips.

James clearly took the bait and hit back at Trump by filing a motion seeking to compel Trump and his two elder children to appear for sworn testimony in her office’s civil investigation into the Trump Organization.

New details were revealed by James in the court filing and a statement on her office’s investigation into the Trump Organization’s business practices.

Included is a preliminary finding which alleged that the company used “fraudulent and misleading asset valuations to obtain economic benefits.”

James also issued a four-part tweet where she declared, “We are taking legal action to force Donald Trump, Donald Trump, Jr., and Ivanka Trump to comply with our investigation into the Trump Organization’s financial dealings.”

“No one in this country can pick and choose if and how the law applies to them,” James insisted.

James then claimed, “We have uncovered significant evidence indicating that the Trump Organization used fraudulent and misleading asset valuations on multiple properties to obtain economic benefits, including loans, insurance coverage, and tax deductions for years.”

“Donald Trump, Donald Trump, Jr., and Ivanka Trump have all been closely involved in the transactions in question, so we won’t tolerate their attempts to evade testifying in this investigation,” James explained.

James continued by restating her earlier insistence: “We will not be deterred in our efforts to continue this investigation, uncover the facts, and pursue justice, no matter how many roadblocks Mr. Trump and his family throw in our way. No one is above the law.

Eric Trump and Trump attorney Alina Habba have also been speaking out against James’ continued attempts to take down the Trump organization.

Habba recently echoed Donald Trump’s words in a Newsmax appearance where he said of James, “She is a sick person who really truly has taken her oath of office and just weaponized it.”

Eric Trump told Fox News, “She ran on the campaign promise of suing my father because she didn’t believe in his political party, because she didn’t like us, because the people of Washington, D.C., told her to do that.”
