Paul Ryan Throws Trump Under the Bus One Last Time, Trashes Some Republicans’ 11th Hour Efforts to Expose Potential Voter Fraud

It’s no surprise that Paul Ryan, the former Republican speaker of the house and former 2012 running mate of US Senator Mitt Romney (R-UT) is anti-Trump. But the least he could have done is stayed quiet after pretending to work with Trump previously.

It’s also not surprising though, that Ryan is speaking out against Republicans who dare demand that it be proven Joe Biden won the election legitimately. Despite the mainstream media’s efforts to claim that although voter fraud may exist, there wasn’t enough to put Joe Biden’s wins in 4 key swing states into question, it was factually a different election season.

A mass mail-in campaign due to Covid-19, plus lots of alleged evidence that there were potential improprieties in some Democrat metro areas is fair enough reason in our view for people to at least be able to raise questions and be convinced the election process is still fair and safe.

This is what Republicans, at least the ones who are helping President Trump’s efforts, are indeed looking to do. Paul Ryan doesn’t care though, and whether he’s genuinely concerned about Democracy (we think not) or is simply bitter at President Trump who won in 2016 unlike Romney in 2012, it’s disturbing, to say the least, or at least extremely petty.

Josh Kraushaar tweeted:

Paul Ryan statement: “Under our system, voters determine the president, and this self-governance cannot sustain itself if the whims of Congress replace the will of the people.”

Business Insider quoted Paul Ryan:

“All our basic rights and freedoms flow from a fidelity to the Constitution and the rule of law,” Ryan, who represented Wisconsin in the House from 1999 until 2019, said in a statement. “This principle is not only fundamentally American but a central tenet of conservatism. Under our system, voters determine the president, and this self-governance cannot sustain itself if the whims of Congress replace the will of the people. I urge members to consider the precedent that it would set.”

“Efforts to reject the votes of the Electoral College and sow doubt about Joe Biden’s victory strike at the foundation of our republic,” Ryan continued. “It is difficult to conceive of a more anti-democratic and anti-conservative act than a federal intervention to overturn the results of state-certified elections and disenfranchise millions of Americans.”

“The Trump campaign had ample opportunity to challenge election results, and those efforts failed from lack of evidence. The legal process was exhausted, and the results were decisively confirmed,” Ryan said Sunday.

“If states wish to reform their processes for future elections, that is their prerogative. But Joe Biden’s victory is entirely legitimate,” Ryan concluded.

We will see what comes of the January 6th objections from many in the US Senate and House, but meanwhile, the amount of hatred and division is sad and hopefully we can one day get back to a time of normalcy, although it’s not looking so good for that. Trump supporters will not be very accepting of Joe Biden no matter how much he tries to hypocritically preach ‘unity’.
