Peter Doocy Grills Jen Psaki On What Age the White House Thinks Gender Identity and Sexual Orientation Should Be Taught

Fox News’ Peter Doocy today grilled White House press secretary Jen Psaki over the White House’s response to Florida’s parental rights bill.

In a clip shared by Breaking 911, Doocy can at today’s press briefing be seen as having began, “And what about this new law in Florida.”

Doocy asked, “At what age does the White House think that students should be taught about sexual orientation and gender identity.”

“Well I would say, first of all Peter, we have spoken to the ‘Don’t say gay’ bill in the past I believe is what you’re referring to,” Psaki responded, intentionally misidentifying the bill.

Psaki then suggested, “As we look at this law, what we think it is a reflection of, is politicians in Florida propogating misinformed, hateful policies that do nothing to address the real issues.”

After Psaki danced around the question, Doocy then wondered, “Does the White House support (gender identity and sexual orientation) classroom instruction before kindergarten?”

“Do you have examples of schools in Florida that are teaching kindergarteners about sex education?” Psaki shot back.

Doocy then explained, “I’m asking for the president’s opinion…” to which Psaki said that she believed it was a “relevant question” because the law puts parents and LGBTQ+ kids in a “heartbreaking circumstance.”
