In April 2021, we reported that Joe Biden told American troops stationed in the U.K. that global warming represents the “greatest threat” to America.
Fox News’s Peter Doocy brought the statement by Biden up today at a news conference held by White House press secretary Jen Psaki following Biden’s leveling of sanctions on Russia.
Doocy asked Psaki if global warming was still the “greatest threat” to America given the current situation in Eastern Europe.
Psaki responded by passing the buck to the military and telling Doocy that she’d “point” him “to them.”
Breaking 911 reported on the situation:
REPORTER: “The number one threat facing the country right now remains global warming?”
PSAKI: “I think it’s important as we’re all educating the public here, to convey and reiterate the President has no intention of sending US troops into Ukraine.”

At the time when Biden said that previously, the 45th President Donald Trump responded with a statement.
“Biden just said that he was told by the Joint Chiefs of Staff that Climate Change is our greatest threat. If that is the case, and they actually said this, he ought to immediately fire the Joint Chiefs of Staff for being incompetent!” Trump declared.
Biden had told the troops at the time, “When I went over to the tank in the Pentagon when I was first was elected vice president with President Obama, the military sat us down and let us know what the greatest threats facing America were, the greatest physical threats. This is not a joke. You know what the Joint Chiefs told us the greatest physical threat facing America was? Global warming.”
“There will be significant population movements, fights over land, millions of people leaving places because they’re literally sinking below the sea in Indonesia, because of the fights over what is arable land anymore,” Biden suggested.
