Today, in his final full day as President of the United States of America, President Donald Trump gave his Farewell Address. Trump’s speech, which can be seen in full at the bottom of this article, highlighted many of the things he has pushed through in the last four years.
Trump began his address, “My fellow Americans, four years ago we launched a great national effort to rebuild our country, to renew its spirit, and to restore the allegiance of this government to its citizens. In short, we embarked on a mission to ‘Make America Great Again’, for all Americans.”

These words are reminiscent of Trump’s words on the day of his inauguration in which he stated, “We assembled here today are issuing a new decree to be heard in every city, in every foreign capital, and in every hall of power, from this day forward: a new vision will govern our land, from this day forward, it’s going to be only America first. America first.”
Trump addressed tomorrow’s inauguration with, “pray for its success in keeping America safe and prosperous. We extend our best wishes, and we also want them to have luck.”
Trump highlighted his gratitude for the support he has received from his wife and children as well as the Pence family and his staff. He also thanked the American people for the “privilege and great honor” in being their president.
Trump called on the nation to, “unify around our shared values and rise above the partisan rancor, and forge our common destiny”. He brings up the assault on the Capitol that occurred earlier this month.
Trump then reviews many of his administration’s accomplishments from the past four years, a trade deal with China, an outperforming economy, becoming the world’s number-one producer of oil and natural gas, record-low unemployment in many categories, stock market highs, and bring back manufacturing jobs to America.
Trump’s speech included many more of the vast accomplishments that Nancy Mace insists are “wiped out” after the assault on the Capitol.
Trump has changed much in the last four years with his administration’s help. His numerous appointees to the Judicial branch including three Supreme Court may have a great impact on the future of the United States.
President Trump concluded his address displaying his optimism for the future stating, “I go from this majestic place with a loyal and joyful heart, and optimistic spirit, and a supreme confidence that for our country, and for our children, THE BEST IS YET TO COME!”

As the book closes on his presidency it is unclear what will happen next for Trump as his second impeachment moves to the Senate after his last day as President of the United States. Trump had previously talked about running again in 2024 however being impeached with threats of being barred from holding office again as well as being banned from all social media seem to have stymied all of that.
For now American moves to the next administration’s inauguration set for noon tomorrow January 20th. From there we as a nation will see what will comes next.
