Last night, we reported that a second accuser, his 25 year old former aid Charlotte Bennett, came forward with sexual harassment allegations against New York Democratic Governor Andrew Cuomo.
Progressive Democratic New York State Senator Alessandra Biaggi moved swiftly to condemn the third term governor.
Tagging Cuomo in a tweet, Biaggi told him, “you are a monster, and it is time for you to go. Now.”

Later, Biaggi issued a statement where she said, “As a New Yorker, a legislator, Chair of the Senate Ethics and Internal Governance Committee, and a survivor of sexual abuse, I am calling for Governor Cuomo to resign.”

According to CBS 6 Albany, Biaggi says she believes Cuomo’s accuser Lindsey Boylan, despite Cuomo’s denial and critics who accuse Boylan of being an opportunist.
The outlet reported that Biaggi pointed out Boylan provided “receipts” in the form or text messages and e-mails.
They also noted that Biaggi was a former staffer of the Governor’s Office, and although she said she never experienced sexual harassment from Cuomo behind closed doors, what she’s seen in public is proof enough for her.
Biaggi also retweeted a statement from a political ally of hers, the New York City comp controller and mayor candidate Scott Stringer, who called for a “truly independent investigation.”

Last year, the two switched their endorsements in the 16th District U.S. House race from the long time incumbent Eliot Engel to the eventual winner, far left activist Jamaal Bowman, after the George Floyd riots.
Biaggi won her seat by unseating an “entrenched incumbent,” Jeff Klein, who previously was part the Independent Caucus, who worked to get bipartisan results.
It appears that there is a shift underway in New York Democratic politics to get rid of the establishment Democrats and the answer to who will replace them likely seems to be more progressive and far left candidates.
