At today’s daily press briefing, White House press secretay Jen Psaki made quite a declaration that many are likely to dispute, despite what the New York Times reported.
In a clip tweeted by TPUSA’s Benny Johnson, Psaki began, “I also just wanted to note the president of course just met with a number of business leaders and industry leaders about efforts to address bottlenecks in supply chain, I think you all saw him give remarks on that as well”
“But as the New York Times said today, Christmas gifts are arriving on time this year,” Psaki continued
Psaki then claimed, “Good news! We’ve saved Christmas.”
“And that is because President Biden recognized this challenge early, acted as on an honest broker to bring key stakeholders together and focused on addressing practical problems across the global supply chain,” Psaki suggested.
Johnson pointed out in his tweet, “MEANWHILE: Out of control inflation, devastating economic growth, COVID RAGING, and The Biden Administration is telling families not to get together with ‘unvaccinated’ family members.”

Satish Jindel, president of ShipMatrix said in the New York Times report, “The carriers have done their part. Consumers have done their part. When they work together, you get good results.”
The report also admitted that it’s not to say the supply chain turmoil is over. About a hundred container ships are waiting off the West Coast to unload their cargo, they reported.
In addition, big-ticket items, such as new cars, are still hard to find because of a shortage of some critical parts like computer chips and prices are up for all kinds of goods, as Johnson said.
As Psaki “noted,” Biden tweeted out earlier, “This morning, I brought together my Supply Chain Task Force and business leaders for another progress update. My Administration is working every day to move goods faster, keep shelves stocked, and lower prices for Americans.”
