Elon Musk Slams ‘Wokeness’ For Wanting to Cancel Dave Chappelle and ‘Make Comedy Illegal, Which is Not Cool’

In an inteview yesterday with satire site “Babylon Bee,” the world’s richest man, Elon Musk, didn’t hold back when letting his thoughts known about “Wokeness,” specifically in regards to comedian Dave Chappelle and comedy.

Musk can be seen in a clip telling the interviewers, “Generally, I think we should be aiming for a positive society and it should be okay to be humorous.”

“Like wokeness basically wants to make comedy illegal, which is not cool. Like I mean Chappelle, trying to shut down Chappelle, come on man, that’s crazy,” Musk explained.

Musk then asked, “Do we want a humorless society that is simply rife with condemnation and hate basically?”

“At it’s heart, wokeness is divisive, exclusionary, and hateful. It basically gives mean people… a shield to be mean and cruel, armored in false virtue,” Musk concluded in the clip.

As we previously reported:

Star Trek actor George Takei or “tacky George” as we like to call him, took to Twitter to bash Dave Chappelle’s new Netflix special “The Closer”. Takei is part of the LGBT community.

Think what you will of the special but it’s definitely got libs up in arms over his jokes.

Takei:

“If Dave Chappelle had so blatantly attacked another minority group, such as Asians, Muslims, or Jews, would Netflix have so readily stood by his artistic freedom? It’s hard not to feel like trans people are considered fair game in today’s America. This is why we must speak out.”

Many asked if Takei even watched it at all as he did make a joke about Jewish people and many others.

Despite the backlash, it was recently announced that Netflix has two forthcoming Chappelle specials in the works.
