Report: Deputy National Security Adviser may be the ‘New York Times Leaker’ and up for Reassignment

OPINION-SPECULATION:

According to reports from Axios and Bizpacreview, it looks like we may now know the identity of the New York Times “anonymous” Trump basher and author. Former Ted Cruz Senior Foreign Policy Adviser Victoria Coates can be seen in a video from Fox Business where she lays it on thick against President Trump and in defense of anti-Trump slams from former presidential candidate Carly Fiorina. See video below:

Axios reported on the 17th that top Trump administration officials are in discussion to reassign deputy national security adviser (her current role), Victoria Coates, to the Department of Energy from the NSC. This is from “two sources familiar with the planning”. If confirmed it’s unsure just how much damage, if any Coates may have caused to the Trump administration. A Bizpacreview report states that the move would suggest that Trump, who has been the target of snitches and saboteurs within his administration from the beginning, is just getting starting in “draining the swamp”.

If Coates gets removed from her role at the NSC, it will follow the largely newsworthy removal of Dem impeachment witness Alexander Vindman and his brother from the NSC and Gordon Sondland from his E.U. Ambassador role. It’s clear that Coates is suspected of disloyalty to the president, and Donald Trump has stated publicly already that he knows who this “anonymous” person is already. This could lead one to wonder if it does end up being her if he is waiting to let her sweat it out, or if he waiting for more information. Neither would be a surprise coming from the Trump administration.

Axios reports that Coates could take on a senior role under Energy Secretary Dan Brouillette, the former deputy secretary who was elevated to lead the department in December after Rick Perry’s Departure. This decision, they report, could still fall apart, which could be another reason President Trump hasn’t made his move yet. Regardless of how it pans out, between recent firings, transfers, and pardons, it’s likely that we can expect more decisive action like this from President Trump as he tries to shore up loyalty within his cabinet and beyond in preparation for this year’s reelection campaign.

Media Right News previously reported that Joe DiGenova had inside insight on this story but he wasn’t ready to release a name. In our original story we reported in part:

Former U.S. Attorney and mega Trump supporter Joe diGenova has opined on some exclusive information he claims to have. This seems to be some very timely information, in the wake of a huge shakeup by the Trump administration in Washington D.C. This shakeup so far includes getting rid of Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman and his brother from their White House posts and removing E.U. Ambassador Gordan Sondland from his post as well.

Earlier today we published information about a report that 70 Obama era holdovers are being purged as well from the NSC. Well, Joe diGenova, a relatively reliable source, is claiming to have some solid information, but he isn’t naming names just yet. The former U.S. Attorney claims to have been told by a “senior government official” that the “anonymous” writer of a New York Times hit piece claiming to be part of the Trump resistance in the White House has been identified and will soon get a swift ouster.
