Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to Challenge Joe Biden for President in Democrat Primary

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. filed paperwork with the FEC to run for president in 2024 as a Democrat, becoming another primary challenger President Joe Biden.

John E. Sullivan, Kennedy’s campaign treasurer confirmed the filling.

Kennedy is the nephew of the late President John F. Kennedy and the son of former New York senator Robert F. Kennedy.

Kennedy had his Instagram taken down, “for repeatedly sharing debunked claims about the coronavirus or vaccines.” Kennedy is well known for being against vaccines, he founded Children’s Health Defense, an organization that has been labeled “anti-vaccine”.

In March Kennedy shared on Twitter that he was trying to decide whether or not to run for president in 2024.

“Help me decide whether to run for President. Visit http://TeamKennedy.com to volunteer or contribute. If it looks like I can raise the money and mobilize enough people to win, I’ll jump in the race. If I run, my top priority will be to end the corrupt merger between state and corporate power that has ruined our economy, shattered the middle class, polluted our landscapes and waters, poisoned our children, and robbed us of our values and freedoms. Together we can restore America’s democracy.”

Earlier this year, Marianne Williamson launched her bid for the Democratic presidential nomination. Joe Biden has yet to officially announce his bid for a second term, however, it is expected to come soon.

On the Republican side, former President Donald Trump, former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley, entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, and former Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson have all announced their bid for the presidency. Waiting in the wings but anticipated to announce their bids for the presidency are former Vice President Mike Pence and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.

As we draw close to 2024 we anticipate we will see more people jump in on both sides.
